I’m Guy Swenson, a professional wedding officiant based in Orlando, Florida. The ceremony is the only part of your wedding day that is purely about the two of you, so that’s where I put my attention. I officiate personalized, story driven weddings throughout the Orlando area, including Orlando, Windermere, Winter Park, Sanford, Winter Garden, Deltona, and DeLand. My ceremonies are light, with real humor running through them, and serious when the moment calls for it. The structure is one I’ve refined over hundreds of weddings. What fills it is yours: a love story built from what you both tell me, so by the time I read it aloud, it couldn’t belong to anyone else. Two moments couples and guests remember most. Just before the pronouncement, I ask you to pause and take it all in: your hands, your heartbeat, the faces of everyone who came for you. Photographers who have seen hundreds of ceremonies tell me no one else does this. And when I ask your family and friends for their support, they answer out loud: “We do!” Your guests stop being an audience and become part of the ceremony. I officiate secular, non-religious ceremonies, and I’m glad to include specific religious elements or traditions at your request, along with unity rituals like handfasting, sand blending, and libation ceremonies. I’m LGBTQ+ inclusive and work with couples of every background. With a doctorate in education and over 30 years as an educator, including 12 as a high school principal, I’m at home in front of a crowd and calm when something goes sideways. On a wedding day, something always does and I handle it with a touch of humor and ease. My Signature Experience is $625, with travel included in Orange and Seminole counties.
