Hi there! I’m Sabra Dettore, a full-time Secular Wedding Officiant and Funeral Celebrant based in Brandon Township, Michigan. Since 2017, I’ve had the honor of officiating over 650 ceremonies, everything from intimate elopements and simple license signings to big, beautiful, dream weddings.
I became ordained after watching my sister-in-law struggle to find someone who would honor her commitment ceremony, and that experience sparked my passion for creating inclusive, meaningful, and personal celebrations. Every couple has a unique story, and my favorite part of what I do is bringing that story to life.
I’m certified through ULC, AMM, the Unboring Wedding Academy, and the Celebrant Academy Master Class, and I’m an Equally Wed Pro Inclusive Certified Officiant. My travels and collaborations with other celebrants around the world have given me a deep appreciation for different cultures and traditions, which I love weaving into my ceremonies when it feels right for my couples.
When I’m not officiating, I’m mentoring other officiants, teaching workshops on crafting unforgettable ceremonies, and sharing insights about Michigan marriage laws. I’ve been featured in publications like Crazy Wisdom, Canvas Rebel, and Bold Journey, and I serve as the Director of Education and Outreach for the Celebrant Academy.
Whether you’re planning a cozy elopement, an elaborate wedding, or something completely offbeat, I’m here to make sure your ceremony feels authentic, personal, and exactly right for you.
